From the start, working with Amy of Galapagos Local tours, was a pleasure. Amy listened to what was important to us for our time in Ecuador and conveyed how the process worked. Then she started working on our behalf reserving transportation, hotel rooms and boat tours. She went above and beyond with planning ways for us to immerse ourselves in the cultural fabric of Ecuador. In addition to having a certified guide who was an island native travel with us, eat meals with us etc. we visited a local farmers market where a local restaurant owner/chef gave us a tour, purchased items that were used to make us a delicious brunch. The boat tours were all excellent and safe and so much fun. Made memories and friends from all over world. Witnessed marine life up close and personal and made lifelong friends in Ecuador. Reminded us that the world is a beautiful place and human connection is supreme. they say you only get one life but if you do it right, once is enough. I feel that way about our trip to Ecuador with GLT. Cant predict the future but thankful we did it the right way. Highly recommend with zero reservations.

A once in a lifetime trip. Arrangements from lodging to guides to tours were all fantastic and seamless. Really felt like we were being escorted around the Galapagos and we really appreciated having a guide be with us all the time. We had a fantastic once-in-a-lifetime experience. The trip was well organized and the communication was exceptional. The accommodations were very good, and the food/restaurants arranged for us on our 2 week, 3 island tour, were amazing. It was very meaningful to be a part of the culture and get to know the wonderful people.

To say this trip was magical, magnificent and moving would be an understatement. I have been wanting to visit the Galapagos for well over thirty years and an opportunity came up to join Galapagos Local Tours and I took it. This Native led group was knowledgeable, personable and although the trip was planned for specific tours of different Islands and animals the guides were open to magical experiences when the opportunities happened. (and they did several times!) For example one day when in the process of changing locations from one snorkeling event to another our boat was suddenly in the middle of a hundred or more dolphins and the guides stopped the boat and we jumped into the water and swam, snorkeled and played. What an amazing gift. Because of their personal connections to places and native businesses on the various islands we had opportunities to meet and experience wonderful people and food and places that the larger cruise type ventures could never do. I consider this trip to have been a wonderful gift to myself and I hope to find a way to do this again. Trish W.

Amazingly magnificent! Words truly can’t capture the raw beauty of the Galápagos or the magic of its wildlife. It isn’t just a vacation; it’s a profound adventure that must be experienced to be understood. Swimming with inquisitive sea lions and dolphins, observing the iconic Blue-footed Boobies, and hiking volcanic landscapes left me with a sense of spiritual connection unlike anything else. The local people are incredibly friendly and deeply committed to sustainability; there is a beautiful, palpable mutual respect between the inhabitants and the flora and fauna. A huge thank you to Amy, Captain Walter, and our guide Marvi. Their deep knowledge and "hidden gem" recommendations made us feel safe and well-cared for. My only caveat? Please don’t visit unless you are prepared to respect this delicate ecosystem. If you go with an open heart and a "go with the flow" attitude, the islands will truly love you back..
